ANKOLE COW HORN:
Horn is a fairly sturdy material but to keep your piece looking its best, some care is necessary. Horn has properties similar to wood - keep it away from water and when not wearing it keep it wrapped up to protect it from getting scratched. Shine your piece periodically - polish it vigorously with a soft cloth, similar to those used to clean eye or sunglass lenses. A couple of drops of oil (baby oil, for example) on the cloth gives it extra shine.
BRASS:
Brass can tarnish over time, but a quick and vigorous polish with a bit of lemon juice, Brasso or a similar metal cleaning solution will restore its shine.
ALUMINUM:
Occasionally buff your aluminum piece with a soft cloth and/or silver polish, as needed.
GLASS:
Treat with care. Our glass beads are surprisingly sturdy, but glass is glass and can chip with rough treatment.
